Family.Cards is a device that gives seniors very easy access to digital services, such as video calling or watching films and photos.

These services are accessed via a standard television that you connect to our card reader. There is a card for each service that you place on the card reader.

Family.cards is suitable for everyone, especially for people with motor or cognitive impairments or people who do not want to use a smartphone.

Social contacts are crucial for seniors, especially if they live alone and/or far away from family.

With family.Cards you can include family members without a smartphone or internet skills in your everyday experiences, keep them entertained and in touch.

Thanks to the personalized cards, family.cards users can use a variety of online offers on their familiar TV without a telephone and without any prior knowledge.

family.cards is operated intuitively and without menus, buttons or keys. It is particularly quick to learn and does not require any knowledge of how to use mobile phones or the Internet.

Using family.cards is also possible with physical limitations, as the card reader and all cards are an optimal size, are clearly visible, easy to read and easy to grip.

Family.cards runs on any standard TV with an HDMI connection.

It is not necessary to have a smart TV or any other technical infrastructure.

You get everything you need to get started:

  • 1 card reader with charging station
  • 1 connection box including camera for connection to your TV
  • 3 starter cards to put the device into operation

You can easily order additional cards via the family.app.

Our family.app is a companion app that is needed to set up the device and order new cards.

The family.app can be operated by family members who provide support to the main users of family.cards.

The app offers many useful features:

  • View the device status of the card reader
  • Connecting a card reader to a TV
  • update existing maps
  • design and order new cards

Each additional card costs 9.00€.

Additional cards can be conveniently ordered via the family.app and then produced by us and sent free of charge.

If you have family or friends who have difficulty using smartphones, tablets or computers, then family.cards is an excellent choice:

family.cards can be used by most people with limited motor skills, e.g. due to arthritis, Parkinson's disease or gout.

The device is also used for mild to moderate forms of dementia, including Alzheimer's. Family.cards is helpful in everyday activities and when the disease worsens.

Even if seniors are not interested in technology or have hearing, vision, motor or cognitive problems, they can use family.cards.

Family.cards automatically switches on the TV as soon as a card is placed on the card reader or a video call comes in on the TV.

When the card is removed, the TV returns to its original state.

Manual switching via the TV remote control is not necessary.

Family.cards is equipped with a 4G SIM card slot and can alternatively be operated with WLAN.

We recommend using a prepaid 4G SIM card initially if you do not have WiFi, and switching to WiFi/broadband internet once data usage exceeds 5GB per month.

At least one family member should install the family.app, which we provide free of charge, on a smartphone.
